Jackson's Ridge Facilities

THE OWEN CARR CENTRE

The Jackson's Ridge Main Conference Venue is the Owen Carr Centre. This venue has now been extended and has a seating capacity for 250 delegates. This facility is also home to the Jackson's Ridge Resource Centre (see Materials & Supplies), a Tuck Shop, a Fully Equipped Kitchen, Dinning Area and Nurse's Station. This multi-purpose building can also accommodate indoor group games and activities.

THE JACKSON'S RIDGE RESOURCE CENTRE

The resource centre is housed at the Owen Carr Centre. Jackson's Ridge has the biggest selection of children's ministry materials and supplies in the country.

We offer: Children’s Ministry Curriculum, General Children’s Ministry Books, books, tapes, CD's and puppets for Puppetry & Ventriloquism (we have an in-house puppet factory, and make puppets to order), Gospel Illusion books and materials, Clowning books and supplies, Games books and materials, Balloons and ballooning books. We also stock a wide range of Music Tapes, CD’s and Videos.

THE KITCHEN AND DINNING AREA

The Kitchen is equipped with all the necessary to feed a large or even a small group on a weekend conference or camp. The Jackson's Ridge Puppet Festival 2002 had over 200 people housed and fed on a single weekend.

THE DORMITORY AND ABLUTION BLOCK

The Dormitory sleeps up to 180 campers comfortably. It is a 2 story building which makes it suitable for a mixed (boys and girls) camp or conference. The ablution block is situated in the adjacent building.

THE JR OFFICE BLOCK

The office block is a hive of activity during the weekdays. All admin, bookings and materials are generated from the JR Office Block. For office contact details go to the bottom of this page.

ROPES COURSE & ACTIVITY FIELD

This is the Jackson's ridge "Nerve Centre" during camps. A professionally designed high and low ropes course is ideal for group challenges and team building sessions.

THE AMPHITHEATRE & COUNCIL FIRE AREA

Amphitheatre and Council Fire area is ideal for presenting the Gospel in a number of creative ways. This area is used for an outdoor teaching venue during conferences and camps. An evening council fire service is an unforgettable experience for delegates and campers.

THE DAM & LAPA

Lake Buddy and Buddies Lapa offers a variety of water activities as well as an excellent meeting venue. This is one of Jackson's Ridges newest facilities. Situated at the bottom of the property, it is a perfect venue for wild water activities or even a quiet time of fishing. Safety is always a concern and is a priority at this facility. Life jackets and a life guard are an essential part of this facility.
