“How it all began…”

The lady was a household maid…uneducated, poor and unmarried. She had borne two children to two different men and was now pregnant again. Knowing she couldn’t support a third child she decided to go to the local hospital to apply for a government funded abortion. Along the way, she happened into a pregnancy crisis center, met with a Christian counselor, gave her heart to Jesus and decided to keep her baby. Months later, that precious little baby girl became our adopted daughter, Cecilia Neo. She is smart, articulate and carries an unusual anointing on her life. Cecilia nearly became a statistic, but someone intervened…someone saved her life.

Adopting Cecilia dramatically changed our life and our understanding of ministry to children. Now the Jackson’s Ridge Baby Shelter is saving lives by providing transitional care for neglected and abandoned babies and toddler’s. Many have lost their parents to the AIDS pandemic that is ravaging South Africa. These little ones all have a story…many are heartbreaking.
