3. "The Ten Commandments" This Visual Aid became a Continuous Activity over 11 weeks of teaching about God's Laws From the Safari Club Curriculum Unit 2 "God's Laws" - Lessons 1-11 Children need to understand that the Ten Commandments are not just some ancient stone tablets, but are God's laws which are important for them today. Every one of God's laws has a very practical application in the life of the Christian, and children need to grasp this truth on their own level. This unit presents each of the Ten Commandments in a relevant, exciting way. It also explains to children why God gave us rules, and it explores the consequences of obeying or disobeying those rules. After studying this unit, the children will come to see that God's laws are for their own benefit and protection. They will have a new appreciation for the laws of God as explained in the Ten Commandments. |
